Our Story

Inspired on the Back Row

Troy and Dave had both reached a place in their lives where they were searching for the same thing. They both wanted to make a positive difference in people’s lives, they wanted to have careers that produced something that resonated with the souls of the individual. They were both seeking, but they didn’t quite know what it was that they were looking for. Then, one Sunday, Troy found himself sitting on the back row in church when the Bishop stopped by and introduced him to a guy named Dave South, saying, “I think you two should work together.” Troy has a gift of sharing his energy and enthusiasm for a product, Dave’s talent lies in the art of jewelry and manufacturing anything he (or you) can imagine. The two quickly discovered that together they were the answer they were seeking, together they could make a difference in people. They started with a line of inspirational products called “Be the Change”, keys with positive reminders to do good to others. Then Dave began seeing temples, 3D temple coins with the utmost detail and quality, just like one of the temples. Together they have set out to produce a coin for every temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Each coin has the words, “Stand Ye in Holy Places” on the back, a reminder to you, from Dave, that when you are faced with a decision in life, to choose the better path that leads to love, peace and happiness; and maybe even the back row in church.

Coins Forged to the Highest Quality

David started creating jewelry using metals in 1992, ten years later he had worked with nearly every metal in the jewelry industry! Moving to Thailand, he spent the next nine years perfecting his skills with various metals, 3D models and 3D printers. He dreamed of producing something that would bring delight to purchasers and carry with it positive feelings that would touch the souls of those who owned them. In 2014 he was able to realize his dream. Returning to the US, he uses Lost-wax casting to create a metal master from brass alloy for each temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, depicting, in the highest degree of definition possible, a coin with a 3D image of a temple. The reverse of each coin is cast with the words “Stand ye in holy places.”

Many years ago, Troy started a business in Logan, Utah called Logan Glass. It quickly became a success. Why? Because Troy loves to work with people who pay attention to detail and customer service. He is a fun, upbeat guy who just plain likes being around people. That positive energy filled the shop and customers just couldn’t stay away. As time passed, Troy started to feel like he was missing something in his career, he wanted to do something that would create a positive change in people’s lives. He started looking for that something, knowing that he would be led to find it, that’s when he met Dave and the rest, as they say, is history.
